Never underestimate the power of Inspect Element to get around bad programmers
In the last two days I had to struggle with two shit-built websites…
The first was a replacement part company website that had registrations completely broken… so I inspected the form and noticed they misspelled a form element name for required field (so it failed even when you provided it), corrected the HTML, and successfully registered for the site and ordered my parts.
The second was a banking website (for a major bank) that only allows the download of up to 3 months of credit card statements – unless you changed the HTML option element in the form to specify an older month – and then it would pull up any month you want.
It's sad how bad programmers are these days. In the first case I let the company know… fuck the bank though because they are charging people $5 per statement to get older ones.
